Plan Your Own Adventure!

Explore Door County, relax, or revisit your favorite reunion moments.

  • The official dates of Hansen Family Reunion 2026 are Saturday, July 18 through Saturday, July 25.

The first organized event begins Saturday, July 18 at 5:00 PM. Most organized activities will take place Saturday through Wednesday, as that’s when the majority of the family will be in attendance.

  • Most events will take place in Sister Bay, Ellison Bay, and Fish Creek.

    Many families are staying in:

    • Sister Bay

    • Rowleys Bay

    • Wagon Trail Campground (where a large group is booked)

We recommend staying as close to Sister Bay as possible if you want to minimize driving.

  • Nope — no one is cooking for the entire family 😄

    We’ve planned two potluck dinners:

    • Sunday, July 19

    • Tuesday, July 21

Everyone attending will be asked to contribute to one of the two potlucks. You’ll receive details directly from the potluck organizers:

    • Sunday (7/19): Emily

    • Tuesday (7/21): Laura N.

  • All potluck dinners are bring your own beverage.

  • Absolutely not!

We tried to plan activities that appeal to a variety of interests. Feel free to join what sounds fun and skip what doesn’t.

⚠️ A few events do require a firmer headcount:

    • Both potluck dinners

    • Pontoon boat outing

For these, please RSVP directly to the assigned activity captain.

  • Great question. Suggested items include:

    • Comfortable shoes for hiking and biking

    • Swimsuit and towel

    • Pickleball equipment (if you have it)

    • Lawn chairs and lawn games

    • Clothes for rain, wind (IYKYK), or shine

    • Good humor and a positive attitude 😉

  • Yes — on Sunday, July 19, during the potluck dinner, we’ll be celebrating Grandma’s 90th birthday 🎉

Turning 90 is a big deal! If you’d like to offer a toast to our very special Lala, we’d love that.

  • To make sure everyone has a seat, we encourage you to bring camp or lawn chairs to:

    • Beach days

    • Potlucks

    • Movie night

    • Concerts

  • There isn’t one 🙂 — we’re hoping for great weather.

If weather does impact an activity, the assigned activity captain will notify everyone with updates, cancellations, or a Plan B.

  • Uncle Mike or Uncle Marty 😉
